Find out how you can make adjustments to your classes, enrolment and degree.

There is more than one pathway to finishing your degree at UNSW.

We understand that sometimes classes may be full, you may need to take a course earlier in your degree, or you might even decide to change your specialisations or degree! At UNSW, we’re here to support you to complete your studies flexibly.

Are you an international student looking to change your enrolment?

It’s important to understand your visa requirements and the impacts of your enrolment changes. Manage your study situation by following the correct processes to ensure you are not breaching your visa requirements.

Looking to swap or drop your courses and classes?

Prior to the enrolment deadline of each term, you can swap or drop your courses and classes on myUNSW. Depending on which component you’d like to amend, the steps will be different. Check your Program Handbook and Progression Plans for available courses to take in your studies.

If your program is part of Release 1 of myPlan, you can create a study plan using our new tool myPlan for your remaining courses across current and future teaching periods. You can search for courses or requirements applicable to your program, add to your study plan and track your progress.

Multiple enrolment rules

You cannot enrol in more than one program, such as a degree, diploma or certificate, at the same time as another program at UNSW or any other tertiary institution. You must seek approval from the Program Authority of the relevant faculties.

If you’re found to be enrolled, without approval, in more than one program, you may be suspended from your studies at UNSW. An exception is the concurrent enrolment of LLB/JD students in the Graduate Diploma of Legal Professional Practice, which is permitted.
