All you need to know about the two-step enrolment process on myUNSW, when you need to do it, and how to get help.

Annual enrolment allows you to better plan your studies and reserve your spot by enrolling in all your preferred courses for the coming year. Don’t worry, you can always modify your enrolment up until the enrolment deadline, if you change your mind about your selections.

Complete your enrolment

Your enrolment at UNSW is a two-step process consisting of course enrolment and class registration. Course enrolment is an annual process for you to pick your courses for the year ahead. Each academic period, you will also need to select your classes, such as your tutorial and lecture times before the start of the academic period.

Key information

Your enrolment is your responsibility. You must be correctly enrolled by the enrolment deadline each teaching period.

Things to note

Here are some important things to know in special enrolment circumstances.

  • You cannot enrol in more than one program, such as a degree, diploma or certificate, at the same time as another program at UNSW or any other tertiary institution. You must seek approval from the Program Authority of the relevant faculties.

If you’re found to be enrolled, without approval, in more than one program, you may be suspended from your studies at UNSW. An exception is the concurrent enrolment of LLB/JD students in the Graduate Diploma of Legal Professional Practice, which is permitted.

  • Due to the different academic calendars, it is generally not permitted to undertake cross-campus enrolment between UNSW Sydney and UNSW Canberra.
