Help shape the future learning experience at UNSW.

Participate in the confidential myExperience Survey to share your feedback and constructive thoughts on your learning experience. Your responses will help your teachers to shape the future of education at UNSW.

The myExperience survey opens 2-3 weeks before the end of the teaching period and closes before exams. You’ll be notified via email and Moodle, and you can log in directly to myExperience or find the link in the top left corner of myUNSW.

Your information is used only to verify eligibility, and all responses are confidential, according to the myExperience Survey Privacy Statement.

A report for each course will collate all answers and comments, which will be available on Moodle for teaching staff and on the QILT SES and myExperience dashboard for all staff and students.

Your feedback will make a huge difference in improving the courses for future students! Changes made can include course delivery methods, reading lists and course content.

What you say can never influence your marks. We do not release myExperience reports to staff or students until results are officially published.

However, if you provide identifying information within your responses to the 'open comments' question, this information may be available in the survey results.

  1. Log in to Moodle or directly to myExperience.
  2. Once logged in, you will see a list of your available surveys – one for each course you’re enrolled in.
  3. Follow each link and provide feedback for the relevant course or teacher(s).
  4. Complete each survey by the deadline shown.

Share your thoughts on your learning experience. Be constructive, accurate, detailed and respectful to help drive innovation and professional development.

The surveys have open questions for you to give specific feedback and express concerns. This is your opportunity to suggest improvements to course delivery methods, reading lists and course content. Your comments might include letting someone know what they’re doing well and what they can change to make content easier to understand.

Note: If you include identifying information in your open comments, it may be visible in the survey results. Your responses should always be courteous, tolerant and respectful as required by the UNSW Student Code of Conduct.

Examples:

  • Instead of "The class was great," explain why: "The class was great because the information was well organised and presented, and the explanations were easy to follow."
  • Instead of "I enjoyed this course," say: "I enjoyed this course because the teacher used interesting examples that made the class relevant and easy to understand."
  • Instead of "I couldn't understand anything he said," try: "He should explain difficult concepts in depth rather than just reading from slides," or "When he used jargon we didn't know, I had trouble taking notes because I didn't understand the words well enough to write them down accurately."
