Social Policy Research Centre
Our Voice SA is a peer-led self-advocacy organisation for adults living with intellectual disability in Adelaide, South Australia. In 2019-20, Our Voice SA was awarded a three-year grant by the NDIA to help expand their self-advocacy work. The “Reaching Out” project aims to reach more people with intellectual disability in South Australia, people living in closed systems and in regional areas; build confidence, knowledge and skills for people to speak up for themselves; connect to peers and develop leadership skills. Our Voice SA and JFA Purple Orange have commissioned a team of researchers at SPRC, UNSW and Flinder’s University, Adelaide to undertake a 3-year action research evaluation of the project.
