Applying for undergraduate study
Everything you need to know.
Everything you need to know.
Whether you’re still exploring your options or you already know what you want to study, follow this step-by-step guide to get your application submitted on time.
Visit Degree Finder to explore our degrees and find the one that’s right for you. Take note of entry requirements, assumed knowledge and additional selection criteria.
All domestic applications for undergraduate study are made via the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). We recommend you familiarise yourself with the UAC application process before you get started.
Double-check all UAC key dates, including on-time application closing dates. Late applications may be accepted but will incur a higher processing fee, so it’s best to get in early.
Lodge your application online through UAC. You can nominate up to five degrees you’d like to study in order of your preference.
UNSW will contact you via email with instructions on how to accept and enrol. Make sure to check the offer acceptance deadlines to secure your spot.

You can track your application or update your preferences online with UAC, by logging into your UAC account.
You'll only receive one offer per UAC offer round so make sure your preferences are in the best shape possible. Keep the degree you really want to study as your top preference to be able to receive an offer. You can update your preferences as often as you like before each offer round.
Congratulations! Your offer means you've been accepted to study at UNSW.
Most offers to study are made in the UAC December Round 2 and January Round 1 offer rounds. UAC will contact you via email letting you know which degree you have an offer to study. Make sure to check the offer acceptance deadlines to secure your spot.
If you haven't received an offer or for the degree you want, you can find out what to do in each situation in UAC's guide.
Accept your place by clicking the link in your offer email or going to Accept Online.
It's best to accept your place as early as possible. Each degree at UNSW has limited places to maximise the quality of teaching and learning, and they can fill up quickly.
Here comes the exciting part where you get to pick your classes and begin preparing for the start of term. Once enrolment for your degree is available, you can enrol in your degree and courses online at myUNSW.
