This project is an evaluation of the Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) Plus, a program run by NSW Health that provides recovery-oriented, high-intensity support to people with severe and persistent mental illness to transition from institutional care to community living.
The evaluation will take place from July 2018 to June 2020 and aims to assess the effectiveness and outcomes of HASI Plus. The evaluation methodology involves qualitative data collection from program partners, consumers and families, quantitative data from program partners, and economic analysis to examine the costs and benefits of the program compared to other mental health care models.
