International Transgender Day of Visibility is a day to recognise and celebrate trans and gender diverse people for their stories, achievements and contributions to society, and raise awareness for the discrimination trans and gender diverse communities face.

On this year's International Transgender Day of Visibility, UNSW celebrates our trans and gender diverse students, staff and community, and continues to defend their right to safe, inclusive participation in all aspects of life.
At UNSW we have a range of support services and initiatives designed to support our trans and gender diverse communities. Information on how are are supporting trans and gender diverse students and staff at UNSW, and a new video project celebrating staff and students, are available below.

2022 statement of support
In April 2022, UNSW published a statement of support following the shocking targeting of trans and gender diverse people in Australia. The statement is still relevant today and UNSW reaffirms our commitment to ensuring a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, staff and visitors.
