A workplace adjustment, also known as a reasonable adjustment, is a change to work process, practice, procedure or environment.

Workplace adjustments accommodate the needs of a person with disability and will assist them in working comfortably and productively. Examples include:

  • Assistive technology or software
  • Flexible work arrangements
  • Modifying communication systems or information provision
  • Modified workstations

Adjustments can be permanent or temporary depending on the nature of the disability and the needs of the individual.

Procedure
