Our eye research group works closely with industry to develop innovative eye products. The group specialises in research relating to contact lenses, dry and red eye and microbial and cell biology.
Our research
-
This study aims to evaluate the effect of two different commercially available eye drops on the outermost layer (epithelium) of the cornea (clear, front surface of the eye) compared to saline, in subjects with dry eye.
-
This study aims to assess the effects of having a combination of treatments of Manuka+ heated eye mask, and how this compares with the Manuka+ Eye Drops for the treatment of dry eyes.
-
Dry eye disease has been associated with an increased number of bacteria on the eyelid margin. This research study aims to evaluate the effect of eyelid wipes infused with manuka honey on the signs and symptoms of dry eye.
