Safety

PPE refers to clothing or equipment that provides a physical barrier protecting an individual from a hazard. High visibility clothing whilst not providing a physical barrier, provides an increased sighting distance by improving the visibility of the wearer to vehicle and plant drivers operators.
Please use guideline HS569, opens in a new window in managing PPE requirements in the workplace including laboratories and office spaces.
HS701-Personal Protective Equipment Signs, opens in a new window - should be used in conjunction with HS569.
