Speak up when something is unacceptable

If you experience or see anything that doesn’t seem right, big or small, we want to hear about it. Speaking up allows us to understand your concerns, take necessary action, and help you find the support you need. Your voice also contributes to building a culture we all want.

In our effort to foster a culture where everyone feels safe and included, the Code of Conduct & Values outlines expected behaviours. The following behaviours are not tolerated, and we encourage you to speak up about them and any other unacceptable behaviours.

• Cheating, including contract cheating, unauthorised use of AI, exam misconduct, getting others to do your work.

• Foreign Government Interference, opens in a new window
• Fraud, involving falsified documentation, opens in a new window and staff dishonesty in obtaining a benefit or causing a loss by deception.
• Harassment and Bullying of staff, opens in a new window, students, opens in a new window, and members of the UNSW community and public.
• Modern Slavery, opens in a new window
• Plagiarism, opens in a new window
• Racism & Religious Vilification, opens in a new window
• Research Misconduct encompassing irresponsible practices related to authorship and publication, as well as fabrication and falsification of research.
