We want all staff and students in our labs to stay safe. It is important to take 2-minutes before you commence a task to assess the hazards and risks.
Laboratory hazards:
- bad housekeeping
- unlabelled Chemicals
- spills.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Laboratory Clothing (may include long-sleeved laboratory coats, wrap around gowns, disposable gowns and boiler suits).
- Protective eyewear.
- Gloves.
- Closed shoes.
- Hearing protection.
- Additional or specialised PPE e.g., respirators.
