As a new staff member at UNSW you must be inducted in Health and Safety procedures and policies.
If you will be working in an office based space your supervisor must go through the HS006 Health & Safety Induction Form, opens in a new window with you.
If you will be working in a laboratory your supervisor must go through the HS049 Laboratory Induction and Authorisation Form, opens in a new window with you.
This will inform you about:
- Hazards in your work area
- Risk assessments associated with your work
- Safe work procedures
- General health and safety
- Emergency procedures
- After Hours access procedures for your area
- Consultation procedures
