In today's competitive job market, employers are seeking candidates who not only possess academic qualifications but can also demonstrate their practical skills and industry know-how. The Employability Award is your first step to success, offering a comprehensive simulated recruitment process to help you excel when you have to undertake it for a real job application.
What's involved?
1. Application
Submit an online application including your resume and a motivation statement summarising your achievements.
2. Psychometric testing
Complete a suite of cognitive ability tests to provide insights into your skills and capability.
3. Video interview
Submit a short online interview demonstrating answering a behavioural interview question.
4. Assessment centre
Participate in a real assessment centre, demonstrate your abilities in a group setting so assessors can predict your performance in the workplace.
5. Awards night
Invitation to an end of program networking event. Top performers receive recognition as an award winner at the end of program event.
6. Recognition
AHEGS-recognised and LinkedIn certificate.
Top performers will also feature in student newsletter, get exclusive invitation to industry networking events and receive a LinkedIn Badge.
7. Personalised feedback
All students who complete the process will receive a personalised feedback report.

Current UNSW students who meet the below criteria can apply:
- Penultimate or final year student at UNSW in 2024, including HRD candidates
- are on good academic standing.
*please note this program is not suitable for students completing an MBA program.
