Associate projects

These projects may involve assisting with larger initiatives, taking on specific tasks or responsibilities within a team, or working independently on smaller projects. In addition to providing valuable learning opportunities, associate projects can also help employees build relationships with colleagues across different departments or functional areas, and gain visibility and recognition within the organisation.

What are we working on?

A001: Assessing the impact of law enforcement on stock market values.

This project investigates and measures the financial effects of Australian statute law governing the corporate activities of companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). This assists in distinguishing law intervention value shifts from corelated influences to those that are causative. In turn, it can support identification of potential unintended consequences of new or amended statute law.

A002: API ecosystems adoption

The purpose of this project is to raise awareness about the challenges and opportunities faced by the industry when it comes to designing and implementing digital transformation initiatives. The goal is to promote the adoption of more effective and efficient digital solutions based on API ecosystems that which can enhance operations, increase productivity, and boost profitability especially for SMEs. The project uses e-invoicing adoption in Australia as a case study.

A003: Analysing news and its impact on financial markets

This project aims to adopt most advanced natural language processing and AI technologies to perform various analysis tasks on financial news articles, and measure their impact on relevant financial markets. The news data used in this project is mainly sourced from Australian Financial Review. This project contributes to the research communities of both applied artificial intelligence and finance.

"Research is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought."
