  • Topic: How Neurobiology Can Inform Decision Science: The Case of Trading Skill

Abstract

Starting from a (sensational?) article in Scientific Reports which discovered a relationship between “gut feeling” and professional trading success, the speaker will delve into the neurobiological foundations of financial decision-making, highlighting how biology not only can clarify otherwise puzzling behavioural findings, but can also uncover behavioural traits that have been overlooked by behaviour-centred research.
