Welcome to the Engineering Social Study Hub, a new space for first-year engineering students. The hub is a comfortable and supportive environment where you can dive into your studies, seek guidance, and unwind with your fellow first-year students.

We understand that the transition into university can be challenging, and Maths and Physics plays a large part of your first-year engineering experience. If you need any extra support in these areas, our team of friendly and experienced student mentors is on hand to assist you, offering explanations and useful insights.

But it’s not just about academic support. The Study Hub is also a place to relax and socialize, where you can build friendships, collaborate on projects, and importantly enjoy complimentary beverages and snacks!

We invite you to visit the Study Hub, whether you’re looking for study assistance or a friendly chat. It’s a resource for you to use as you navigate your first year of engineering, check out the schedule below. We look forward to seeing you soon!

  • Yash

Hey first years! I'm Yash and I'm a second year currently studying Advanced Science (Hons.)/Computer Science with a major in Advanced Statistics. I find it helpful to have a conversation with a senior student from the engineering faculty as I get more insight to how to plan my degree as well as advice & tips from their experience that can make my life easier - I'd love to chat more with you whether it be getting through first year, any tips/advice for study or even about myself and what I want to do.

    Doha

Hi! I'm Doha, I'm studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Bachelor of Commerce, with a major in Chemical Engineering and in Business Analytics.

Outside of my academic studies, I have been a member of the Sunswift Racing team since last year, which is a project under the ChallEng Program that involves working on a solar-powered electric vehicle that we get to race in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. I am also Treasurer at Capital W, a UNSW Women in Business society.

In my spare time I love to read, work out, play games and binge films from the 90s.

I look forward to meeting you at the Social Study Hub!
