Third-party agreements

As with all University records, UNSW staff and contractors have a responsibility to capture records relating to third-party agreements to a System of record. This includes records that demonstrate how an agreement with a third-party is developed and approved, as well as the final signed contract.

Unless UNSW Procurement is managing the process for you, RAMS will be the appropriate system for the capture of these records in most cases.

Compliance

Capturing records of your third-party agreement in RAMS ensures that you are compliant with the State Records Act 1998. Depending on the monetary value and the type of agreement, you may also have obligations under other legislation to make information about the agreement publicly available.

For all contracts with a value of above $150,000 including GST (=$136,363 excluding GST), contact the University Right to Information Officer for more information about your reporting responsibilities under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.

For all arrangements with other parties to deliver UNSW programs, contact the Office of the DVC A for more information about your reporting responsibilities under the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011, Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021.
