Future Students

Boys in a row

The world is changing, and now, more than ever, it needs people who want to make a difference. Universities can be seen as a daunting place for mob, you are the first in the family to attend or have that ‘nah that’s a shame’ feeling. At Nura Gili, we get it: we’ll encourage you to learn and grow at UNSW and help you make your impact and give back.

Our programs offer students a unique opportunity to see what UNSW is all about and what we have to offer. Through partnerships with our faculties and divisions, we’ve created an experience to instil a sense of cultural leadership and comradery. You'll address real-life scenarios that impact Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities today, engaging with interactive workshops, hands-on experience and problem-solving activities.

Discover You.

Pursue your passions.

No shame to educate.

Pathways to UNSW

Do you have your mind set on your dream degree, but aren’t sure if you’ll get the required ATAR? Start your journey by exploring the pathways to study at UNSW.

Nura Gili has led innovative, culturally appropriate and holistic pathways into university for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students for decades. In collaboration with faculties and schools, we've developed two keystone Indigenous pathway programs, the Indigenous Pre-Preparatory Program (Pre-Programs) and Indigenous Admission Scheme (IAS) for you as a stepping-stone to your dream career and introduction to university life in a culturally appropriate and safe environment.

Throughout these programs, you will be assessed on your commitment, attitude and aptitude towards your studies and your ability to participate academically in your selected study area. You will have the opportunity to meet inspirational and dedicated staff and academics who will answer any questions you have about your studies.
