Sydney, Australia | 17-18 September 2025
This regional meeting aims to serve as a crucial milestone in establishing a movement to address the growing concerns of food and water insecurity in the Asia-Pacific region. By promoting the adoption of effective measurement tools like the Water Insecurity Experiences (WISE) scale, opens in a new window, we can drive informed policies, better-targeted interventions, and more resilient communities.
We welcome policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and experts across the Asia-Pacific region to share their experiences and best practices in using WISE to improve food and water insecurity.
Participants will:
- Share case studies and experiences from using the WISE tools across various countries and contexts.
- Expand knowledge on how to implement and interpret the WISE tools to collect data on food and water insecurity.
- Collaborate and strengthen their networks in the fields of food security, water access, and vulnerability reduction.
- Contribute to developing actionable recommendations for scaling up the adoption of WISE tools for improved monitoring, program development, and community-led advocacy.
