UNSW Foundation Limited

The UNSW Foundation Limited was established in 1988 as the university’s fundraising arm. Today, the university’s commitment to supporting research, student experience and community engagement through fundraising is ongoing.

The fundraising effort is managed centrally through Lindsay Robinson, as the Chief Development Officer and Chief Executive Officer of UNSW Foundation Limited.

The UNSW Foundation promotes philanthropy to advance the university’s goals in research, faculty projects, scholarships, external engagement and capital campaigns. The UNSW Foundation office receives contributions made by alumni, supporters, foundations and corporations. The university invests and manages the contributions to protect and enhance their value and disburses them to UNSW’s faculties and divisions.

David Gonski AC, UNSW Chancellor and Chairman of the UNSW Foundation Limited Board, along with the Board of Directors are dedicated to building dynamic partnerships to support key research objectives and other University priorities.

The UNSW Foundation Limited acts as Trustee for The University of New South Wales Foundation, which is endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) by the Australian Taxation Office under item 2 of the table in section 30-14 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (Subdivision 30-B) as an Ancillary fund.
