Managed iOS device
Step 1
Open system settings and navigate to the WiFi page.
Select the information icon for UNSW-IoT.

Step 2
On the UNSW-IoT page, ensure that the Private WiFi Address is set to Fixed, then note down the WiFi Address of YOUR IOS device.

Step 3
Open the Safari App, then navigate to the Get online | UNSW Sydney website. Scroll down and select Get Online.

Step 4
Read and agree to the Terms and conditions. Then, select Next.

Step 5
Scroll down and select Connect a specialty or IoT device.
Enter your zid@ad.unsw.edu.au, UNSW password, and MFA when prompted.

Step 6
On the UNSW IoT Guest manager page, select Back to main.

Step 7
On the Unified Visitor management page, select Create new device.

Step 8
Enter your IOS device’s Wi-Fi address (the one from step 2) and input it into the MAC Address field.
In the Device Name field, input [your name]’s iPhone/ iPad, and the device serial Tag.
In the notes section, input your serial Tag.
Accept the Terms of Use and click Create.

Step 9
Once the device profile has been created, copy the Wi-Fi password.

Step 10
Open system settings, navigate to the WiFi page, and select UNSW-IoT.

Step 11
Enter/ paste the password you copied earlier and select Join.
After a few seconds, your device will be connected to the UNSW-IoT WiFi network.
Note: You will need to turn iCloud Private Relay off to ensure access to internet access to UNSW-IoT.
