Artist statement
Charmaine Walters is an A1 poster that uses alcohol markers and ink to mimic posters for comic books. The poster was created over a week after a comic was created using visual techniques such as focal point and incorporating text to create a comic narrative. Comic techniques such as bold ink lines were used to mimic a comic style. The work explores narrative within comics and the dynamic between image and text.
