Chetan Immidi, ‘Intersections’ 2024. Acrylic and Rust on Mild Steel.

Intersections is a set of metal sculptural paintings that explores the possibility for compositional tension and movement through geometric abstraction. This work is purposefully reductive, focussing on a sole material and colour to create complex interactions between forms and textures. Each composition was created by cutting a single sheet of metal once before being gently warped, allowed to rust or used as a painting surface.
