ARTIST STATEMENT

This 3D animated short-film titled "Where Does Space End?" follows a robot venturing into the future to test a light-speed technology, in which the robot ends up alone in the vast void of space. Through this narrative, I delve into the irony of a robot/machine experiencing human emotion as it navigates through the endless barren space encountering vastness, isolation, and silence; reflecting on the universal nature of loneliness. For this 3D animated short-film, I used Maya to model, rig, and animate the 3D components, and used Adobe Substance Painter for texturing. I also used Adobe After Effects to compile them and add sound and other various visual effects.

Artwork medium: 3D Animation, using Maya and After Effects
