STUDENT'S ARTWORK

ARTIST STATEMENT

Eddy is a funky, friendly catfish created for Creature Studio, who walks the sea floors in sync with every beat of the latest trendy tunes. Still in high school, navigating his way through life is tough, but with a passion for fashion and accessories, it keeps him strutting confidently through the vibrant streets of 1980s New York, enjoying every moment of his journey.  The creation of Eddy was inspired by my love for fishkeeping and aquascaping. Observing the distinctive and lively personalities of different fish sparked the idea to design a character with a vibrant personality that people could connect with. After multiple concept sketches, turn-around sheets, and expression studies, my vision gradually took shape. Using 3D software, I modelled and textured the character, incorporating ongoing feedback to bring this goofy catfish friend to life.

Artwork medium: 3D Model made with Blender, Maya, Substance Painter

ARTIST INTRODUCTION

My passion for the world of 3D art emerged in the beginning of 2024. Since then, I have been bringing funky characters to life and into the world where they may bring joy to others and tell stories.
