Feel safe and welcome

Join our vibrant and diverse residential community and tap into a thriving network of peers, residents and talented advisors who are there to support you when you need it. Make meaningful connections from the start of your student career. Friends become family and help to shape one of the most transformative experiences of your life.

Sydney is one of safest cities in the world, and your safety and wellbeing is our highest priority. We have strict cleaning protocols in line with health authority guidelines, an on-campus health clinic, support for mental health and wellbeing services designed specifically for students, 24-hour security services, and the StaySafe@UNSW app, which allows students to report security incidents and request assistance.

Our colleges and apartments have excellent security. Entry into buildings is available only to people holding a duly-issued security card.

Our on-site teams are also on hand to provide academic guidance and personalised support. We even have our very own Residential Wellbeing Officer, Dr Kate Thompson.

"Hi, I'm Dr Kate, and I'm here to support and empower your wellbeing journey. I can provide information and resources, help you develop coping strategies, and connect you with other support services. I also provide training and education in areas of gendered violence, healthy relationships, mental health and general wellbeing.

Whether you're looking for mental health support, some guidance or just someone to listen, I'm here for you."
