Life on Campus
At UNSW we strive to make your life on campus as engaging, fun and proactive as possible! In the School of Materials Science and Engineering we run many of events throughout the year and have lots of different ways that students can engage in the university community and get the most out of their time with us.
To start off with, we have two great student societies that you can join in and be apart of!
MATSOC
Matsoc is our undergraduate student society. They run many exciting events throughout the year and are a great society to get involved with if you want to make the most out of your first years at university and make heaps of new friends.
It's also a great chance to network with students from different years and co-horts and make valuable connections both personally and professionally.

- Career talks by industry professionals

PGSOC
PGSOC is our postgraduate student society. Like MATSOC they run many exciting events throughout the year that HDR student you can engage in!
It's a great opportunity for HDR students to engage and network with other students, and have the opportunity to take a much needed break and engage in fun and inclusive activities inbetween study!
