Our vision and impact

At the UNSW Energy Institute, we connect communities and commercial stakeholders with cutting-edge energy research and solutions. By fostering technology development within UNSW's diverse faculties and schools, and forging strong external partnerships, we accelerate the adoption of innovative energy technologies. Committed to advocating for progressive policies and sharing critical knowledge, we pave the way for a sustainable energy future, both in Australia and globally.

Our vision is for Australia’s global university to be a global leader in energy transition. UNSW’s activity is focused on achieving impact in three main areas:

  • Energy that is affordable, reliable, sustainable, and equitable.
