Research Integrity Advisors
At UNSW, Research Integrity Advisors (RIAs) promote the responsible conduct of research and provide advice to those with concerns about potential breaches of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research and the UNSW Code of Conduct and Values.
RIAs are senior members of staff and experienced researchers who possess a thorough knowledge of research practices and the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research. At UNSW, RIAs are usually the Deputy/Associate Dean (Research) within each UNSW Faculty.
For students and staff at UNSW, RIAs are your first point of contact for any questions on research practice or concerns about research integrity.

For students and staff at UNSW, if you’re not comfortable speaking to the RIA at your faculty or if you’re unable to make contact, you may contact the RIA of any other faculty. Under certain circumstances, discussing your concerns with a person unconnected with your faculty might be helpful.
Alternatively, you may contact the UNSW Conduct and Integrity Office directly. We will assist in managing your enquiry or request for assistance.
