Step 1

Ensure that you are connected to the internet e.g. personal hotspot or home network.

Step 2

Open your web browser, navigate to the GetOnline (https://www.unsw.edu.au/get-online) website, and select Get online

Read the Terms and conditions and select I agree, then select Next

Step 4

Select the type of device you would like to connect to the UNSW WiFi network.  Then sign in by entering your zID@ad.unsw.edu.au and password.

Sign in by entering your zID@ad.unsw.edu.au and password.  Follow through the MFA process when prompted.

Step 6

Select Download and Start Quick Connect.  You may be prompted "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?"  Select Yes.

Step 8

Run the Aruba QuickConnect.sh script as per the instructions.  Select Next when the Onboard Wizard pops up.

Note: The file may be downloaded somewhere else.

You may have to give permissions to run the script by typing chmod +x [filepath]/ArubaQuickConnect.sh.

Step 9

On the Welcome page of the Onboard Wizard select Next

Step 10

When the onboarding wizard finishes loading, select Finish.  You will now be securely connected to the Eduroam WiFi network every time you are at a participating institution.
