The School of Marketing is thrilled to report the overwhelming success of its recent AI in Marketing workshop, an event that captured the interest of both postgraduate and undergraduate students specializing in marketing and marketing analytics.
With all spots filling up quickly, the workshop welcomed 150 enthusiastic participants eager to explore AI’s transformative impact on the marketing industry. Featuring three exceptional speakers, the event concluded with exciting news about a potential proposed AI in Marketing course that was met with strong interest from attendees.

Alice Tang, COO of MA Asset Management, led an engaging first session focused on AI applications in financial services, complemented by hands-on exercises in Generative AI for tasks like audience targeting and email campaign creation.

The second session, presented by Linda Nguyen (Lead Solution Engineer) and Christine Ewen (Principal B2B Product Specialist) of Salesforce, provided cutting-edge insights on AI integration and showcased compelling case studies.
Nearly all marketers (71%) plan to use both types of AI – predictive and generative – within the next 18 months.
AI is a tool – it doesn’t know if something is good or bad, so it's imperative that humans are in the loop to make the right judgement calls.
