We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for eligible full offer holders to get a head start and commence your studies at UNSW early.
UNSW is pleased to offer a select number of courses commencing in Term 3C (T3C) which runs from 18 November to 13 December 2024.
The T3C intake is designed to set you up for greater success in your academic studies at UNSW. T3C courses will be delivered over 5 weeks in an intensive mode. T3C is open to eligible students who currently have a full offer to study an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Coursework degree at UNSW in Term 1, 2025, or may have missed the 2024 T3 intake, or have requested a deferral from one of our 2024 intakes.

$5,000 Student Success Award
Students commencing in T3C will receive a one-off Student Success Award of $5,000, which will be applied as a tuition fee discount to their Term 1, 2025 fees.

The courses listed below will be available for students to enrol in T3C.

The following courses can be studied as an Elective or General Education course as part of most UNSW Undergraduate degrees. Students may complete one course as part of their T3C program.

Enhance English communication skills and develop more effective learning strategies in a supportive community of peers. Students will be guided to design and implement a personal project to increase their confidence in using English and develop professional communication skills.
Students in a UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Undergraduate Single Degree can study this course in T3C as an Elective course.
Students in an eligible Undergraduate Single Degree from another faculty can study this course in T3C as a General Education course (please see FAQs for a list of excluded programs.)
If a student’s program structure allows, they may enrol in AI Fluency (see below) in T3C followed by PELE in Summer Term (6 January – 10 February 2025).

Artificial Intelligence Fluency - Postgraduate
Gain an understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its real-world applications. This course explores the current and potential impact on individuals, organisations, and society, and discusses the future of AI and its potential applications. No prior knowledge of AI is required.
Students in a UNSW Engineering Postgraduate Masters degree Ethics and Leadership in Engineering
Understand the importance of professional and ethical responsibility and develop your professional leadership skills. This course covers topics including theories of leadership, organisational behaviour, strategic planning, innovation in processes and products, and professional ethics.
Students in the Master of Laws Gain an overview of common law systems with an emphasis on the legal system in Australia and other common law jurisdictions. You will learn about Australian law from a comparative law perspective, as well as an international perspective and the influence of international law in Australia.
Students in the Master of Laws must also study Personalised English Language Enhancement (PELE) during the Summer Term if they wish to complete their studies within the required course duration.
Students in a UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Postgraduate Masters degree excluding programs 8143, 8136, 8148, 8121, 8127 and 8318 (see below for course options for these programs) Personalised English Language Enhancement (PELE) - Postgraduate

This intensive design studio considers the city as a site of inquiry, experimentation, and collaboration. You will explore sustainable outcomes for some of Sydney’s critical urban challenges by applying specific design strategies, such as tactical urbanism, community engagement, models, or other experimental and imaginative design approaches.
Students in the following UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Postgraduate degrees:
8121 Master of Construction Project Management
8127 Master of Property and Development
8318 Master of Construction Project Management/Property and Development
Construction Management Theory and Practice
Create a Construction Project Management Plan (CPMP) for a large-scale construction project and refine your practical skills in planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling complex projects. You will learn how to incorporate various sub-plans, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, health, safety, security, environmental, sustainability, procurement, stakeholder, communication, and change management plans into the larger CPMP.

Applications are simple. To be considered, eligible students will have received an email with a personalised apply link and further instructions. From that email, click through to your personalised apply link, complete the form and submit. Due to expected visa processing times1,
- Applications for offshore based students are open until Sunday 6 October 2024.
- Applications for students with a current, eligible study visa, are open until Sunday 27 October 2024.

To accept your offer for Term 3C you must:
- Complete the Acceptance and Reply Form
- Provide proof of payment of your tuition fee deposit if you have not already paid a deposit
- Upload any outstanding documents via your Apply Online account or via myUNSW if you are a UNSW Foundation applicant.

To commence in Term 3C, you will need to accept your offer and pay your deposit by:
- 14 October 2024 - If you are based offshore and need to apply for a study visa
- 11 November 2024 - if you are based onshore or already have an eligible study visa

Due to the nature of this term, we are unable to allow students to commence after 18 November. Any student who is unable to enrol by this date may request for their original offer to be re-instated.

The overall duration of your degree will not be any shorter if you commence in T3C. You will complete the same number of terms, however your completion date may be earlier than the completion date initially stated in your offer letter if you received a Term 1 2025 offer.

As this term is taught in intensive mode, you can enrol in one course only for T3C. Should your program be compatible, you may also be able to enrol in a summer term course. The summer term runs from 6 January – 10 February 2025.

Should you need to defer your T3C offer to Term 1 due to visa processing issues, we will endeavour to prioritise your offer for Term 1 2025.

You are able to work part time during your studies as per your visa. Guidance on working while studying is available here.

The orientation program for T3C will take place during the week of the 11 November 2024. Attendance is highly recommended but not compulsory.

The T3C intake is only available for full offer holders. If your application is still being assessed, or your offer is conditional, you will not be eligible for T3C.

At UNSW, intensive courses are designed to help students fast-track their studies by completing a course in a shorter timeframe. These courses are typically offered during the Summer term or other non-standard teaching periods such as T3C. Courses are taught over a shorter period, so you can expect your classes to be held more frequently and for longer durations each day. Exact class times and schedules will vary based on the individual course.
Students have access to the same support services as during regular terms, including academic advising and equitable learning support.

If you are under 18 years old, as this is a non-standard teaching intake we are unable to put in place relevant arrangements and have any visa approved for students in this category in time. Therefore, it is recommended you retain your Term 1, 2025 offer.
