Zoe is a Research Associate at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes. She researches the physical processes that drive extreme weather and climate events. Her current focus is understanding the role of ocean variability for modulating multi-year drought in Australia. She is assessing the relative contributions of the tropical Pacific and Indian Ocean basins for drought duration and termination in the present-day climate and in a warmer future using observational and climate model large-ensemble datasets and idealised climate model experiments.
