My research is in the effects of climate change on hailstorms, convective processes, and precipitation microstructure. I have worked extensively on the small-scale variability of precipitation, which influences how well remote sensing techniques like radar can estimate rainfall. In my work I examine the ways that climate change may affect hailstorms and severe thunderstorms in future, using high-resolution numerical weather simulations to understand changes in convective processes.
