Suzanne is a Teaching Fellow and Scientia PhD candidate with the Faculty of Law, UNSW. Her research areas include international humanitarian law, international criminal law and human rights.

Suzanne has over 15 years professional experience in the government, not-for-profit and legal sectors, primarily focused on international affairs and national security. Between 2012 and 2016, Suzanne was the Associate Director of the Asia Pacific Centre for Military Law at the Department of Defence. Prior to this appointment, Suzanne was employed by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in various roles, spending four years in the National Security and International Policy Division including as the Senior Adviser on Non-proliferation and Disarmament and Adviser on Afghanistan. She is admitted as a solicitor in NSW.
