Surendra Karki is an epidemiologist with academic qualifications in Epidemiology, Public Health, Microbiology and Vaccinology. He completed PhD in Epidemiology from Monash University, Australia; MSc International Health (Tropical Medicine and Disease Prevention) from Free and Humboldt University, Germany; and MSc Medical Microbiology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has a University Diploma in Vaccinology from Pasteur Institute, University of Paris 7, France.
Currently, he is based at Research and Development in Australian Red Cross Blood Service. He leads research projects in blood donor's health including an extensive data-linkage project aimed to measure the health differences in blood donors and non-donors.
Surendra also serves as an associate editor in BMC Public Health.
