Melinda Tunbridge
As the Faculty Executive Director, Mel is responsible for overseeing the management of plans and processes to deliver operational services to the Business School to ensure it meets its academic, research, teaching and learning outcomes. Her role works closely with professional service teams across UNSW to ensure the Business School achieves its goals.
Mel has spent the majority of her career leading the people and culture space in a variety of sector leading organisations including News Corporation and the Special Broadcasting Service, and she has broad experience in the public health and not-for-profit sectors. Mel has senior management experience and extensive knowledge spanning across management and leadership consultancy, change management, business analysis, regulatory and compliance functions, and has supported teams across Australia (including into far remote areas) and into Asia to achieve organisational and project outcomes.
She moved into the Higher Education sector in 2018 at UNSW within the Faculty of Built Environment, before joining the Business School in 2020 as the Human Resource Business Partner. She holds an MBA, and Graduate Diplomas in HR Management and Organisation Behaviour and Development, and Public Health Economics, as well as several other tertiary qualifications. With a robust skill set that includes Human Resource Management, Business Strategy, Operational Effectiveness, Project Management, Organisational Development and more, Mel contributes valuable insights to the industry.
