PhD Exercise Physiology - Work Time Relationship and Exercise profiles University of Wales Institute Cardiff UK
My research brings together basic and applied science mobilizing cell and molecular biology, analytical chemistry, genetics and applies this to health, exercise, nutrition and health science while translating this for athletes, physicians and patients.
My desire to interrogate basic scientific mechanisms of action and applications for current practices has driven my establishment and leadership of the Translational Chemical Biology research group (TCB), drawing together academics and doctoral students from Sport and Exercise Science, the Biosciences, Analytical Chemistry and Biological Engineering.
My research is disseminated through a portfolio of published papers and other scholarly works across the academic literature with a range of original articles as well as review articles that synthesise the state of the art. I have a good record of building research collaborations and networks both locally and internationally
