Assistant Professor Loretta Lau
I am a paediatric oncologist at Sydney Children's Hospital and a precision medicine scientist at Children's Cancer Institute, UNSW. I received my paediatric oncology training in Australia, followed by a clinical and research fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. I obtained my Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Master of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) and PhD from the University of Sydney. I have expertise in molecular oncology and precision medicine and have been conducting research in the biology and genomics of childhood cancer. I joined UNSW in 2016. I am a clinical lead in the ZERO Childhood Cancer Program, a national precision medicine program led by the Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children's Hospital and Children's Cancer Institute.
