Dr Jose Guivant is a Senior Lecturer with the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. His research interests include:
- Stochastic Data Fusion
- Gaussian estimators for high dimensional estimation problems
- Localisation, Mapping and SLAM
- Stochastic Partial Differential Equations
- Dynamic Programming (applied on non linear control and motion planning)
- Navigation based on fusion of GPS/inertial/dead-reckoning sensors/maps.
- Dynamic Programing through Multi Core resources
- Real-time Implementations for Perception and Data Fusion.
- Real-time Indoor and Outdoor 3D mapping.
- Real-time remote Semi-Autonomous operation of Vehicles
