Dr. Zhijie Chen is a research associate at the Water Research Centre, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, UNSW. He received his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia in 2022. He now works as a Postdoc researcher at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. His research mainly focuses on the development of green technology for achieving environmental and energy sustainability. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers in prestigious journals (e.g., Prog. Mater. Sci., Adv. Mater., Sci. Bull., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Nano-Micro Lett., Adv. Funct. Mater., Green Chem., Appl. Catal. B, Water Res. (X), Renewable Sustainable Energy Rev., Nano Energy, and SusMat) and 3 book chapters within the fields of resource utilization, waste valorization, green chemistry, wastewater treatment, and green energy, and his work has been featured in global tech media. From 2020 to now, he is ranked #6 in Australia for scholarly output for SciVal topic “Oxygen Production; Electrocatalysts; Catalyst”.
