Dr Jasim Anwar
MBBS, MApSc (USyd), PhD (UNSW Sydney)
Jasim is a public health specialist and social-economic development expert, having extensive and diverse experience in Maternal and Child Health, Medical Education, Health System Strengthening, Health Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Epidemiology, and Social Protection, poverty estimations, and Civil Registration and Vital Statistics. He has served at a number of senior management and consultant positions with the Government of Pakistan, Academia, and UN agencies including UNDP, UNFPA, WHO, and UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
He is a medical graduate (MBBS), did his Masters by research in Applied Science from the University of Sydney with distinction. He did his Ph.D. scholarship from the University of New South Wales in 2019. He did his research attachment with TH Chan School of Public Health, CDC Atlanta, and NCHS (Maryland). He has significant applied research experience in policy formulation, household surveys, and big data management, modeling, and data analytics.
