Dr Houman Yarmand
Dr. Houman Yarmand has received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malaya in 2016, and he is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, UNSW. His Ph.D. research focused on advanced energy materials for Thermofluids applications. He continued his research on functionalized graphene-based nanocomposite for energy application in the Centre for Energy Science (CES) at University of Malaya (2017-2020). Later, he joined as a postdoc at the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Netherlands (2021-2022) and he further developed his multidisciplinary research skills through working on smart materials, advanced manufacturing and haptic science. His recent works focus on the developing diagnostic and therapeutic technologies based on tailored and functionalized nanoparticles for biomedical application.
