Associate Professor Glen Stewart
Casual Academic
UNSW Canberra
School of Professional Studies
Glen has a BSc (Honours), PhD in Physics and a Dip. Ed. from Monash University. His research involves the application of hyperfine interaction techniques (in particular 57Fe-, 169Tm- and 161Dy-Mössbauer spectroscopies) to probe electronic and magnetic interactions at the atomic level.
Recent research interests include:-
- The nature of crystal field and magnetic interactions in rare earth compounds and intermetallics that exhibit interesting bulk behaviour
- Magnetic properties of rare earth perovskite-related materials
- Minerals and mineral refining processes
- Radar absorbing materials and biomagnetic materials
