Carly is an interdisciplinary designer, researcher and Lecturer in the school of Art & Design within the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture. She holds a Bachelor of Music Studies (Performance) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, a Bachelor of Design (First Class Honours) from UNSW and is currently completing a PhD in Interdisciplinary Creative Practice (UNSW.) Carly's research is practice-based and explores the visualisation of gesture in live music performance contexts.
Carly's work is engaged with the application of interdisciplinary design methodologies in both personal practice and team contexts, and she currently holds the position of Academic Lead for the ADA Innovation Hub. The Innovation Hub is a faculty-wide program that works with interdisciplinary teams of staff, students, community and industry partners to seek and solve problems through project-based initiatives.
