Over the past six months the Academic Calendar Project Team has listened to staff and students across the University through an extensive consultation process, including:

• Working group engagement sessions
• Staff consultation sessions
• Staff Town Hall Q&A sessions
• Student focus groups
• Online feedback
• Student survey. 

A huge thank you to staff and the 5000+ students who shared their insights and experiences with the current calendar and perspectives on the two models being proposed.

The information you have shared is important in helping us understand the diverse views across UNSW. This will inform and guide the decision on the model selected.

This project is complex and will take time to coordinate with the many areas across the University. During the implementation phase, we will continue to look for ways to make sure the academic calendar best meets the many and varied requirements of UNSW students and staff.

We will continue to keep you updated as the project progresses to implementation of the preferred model.
