UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture (ADA) is experiencing an exciting phase of building and expansion. Over the coming weeks, the faculty will be seeking expressions of interest for a variety of positions, which promise opportunities for both academic and professional staff to join a diverse community committed to shaping a better future for all.

Guided by the ADA2051 vision – through creativity, collaboration and inclusion, we seek and solve problems to improve life on earth – world-class teaching and ground-breaking research come to life daily. The faculty’s mission – to listen, challenge, create, and share diverse knowledge about people, places, and cultures to enable lives with purpose – drives our community of innovative minds and passionate educators.

“Together, we’re committed to creating a caring, supportive and challenging environment for our staff and students, one where we can all do our best work and thrive,” says Professor Claire Annesley, Dean of UNSW ADA.

At UNSW ADA, diversity is our greatest strength. With 60 subject areas – including media, education, construction, textiles, social work, languages, and music – the faculty offers a rich environment for solving the world’s most pressing challenges equitably and inclusively.

The faculty is also home to six schools and multiple research centres and features world-leading facilities such as the Esme Timbery Creative Practice Lab, UNSW Galleries, Design Futures Lab, Social Robotics Lab, Maker Spaces, and multiple other institutes, labs, and studios across the Kensington and Paddington campuses. Combined with a strong focus on industry engagement, students develop the skills to think creatively and critically and are empowered to translate their knowledge and experience into exciting careers.
