UNSW Law & Justice proudly announces Professor Lyria Bennett Moses's appointment as the new Head of the School of Law, Society and Criminology.
Professor Bennett Moses brings extensive expertise in the legal implications of emerging technologies, including AI, data privacy and cybersecurity. Her scholarly work has garnered international recognition, highlighting her significant contributions to legal research and policy—with many achievements attained in recent years as Director of the UNSW Allens Hub for Technology, Law & Innovation.
Professor Bennett Moses has a distinguished record of interdisciplinary collaboration, addressing complex legal and societal challenges with experts across various fields. Most recently, she concluded a successful term as Associate Dean (Research), where her leadership drove the Faculty's research agenda and fostered a collaborative research environment within and beyond the Faculty. Additionally, as co-chair of the Law Associate Dean’s Research Network, she provided sector-wide leadership in developing a framework for measuring research quality in law.
