It is with great sadness that we share the news that a long time colleague and friend of the School, Professor Sue Wilson, died peacefully on Monday 16 March with family members present.
Sue had been an active honorary Professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics for many years.
Sue was also the first appointment at Stats Central, where she led the development of its grant review program, and developed guidelines for other consultants to follow in best practice statistical review of grant applications
Sue spent most of her career at the Australian National University, before taking up a part-time appointment at UNSW over a decade ago, where she contributed to the newly established bioinformatics program.
Sue will be greatly missed by the School, but her legacy and contributions will be remembered for many years to come.
